Getting To Know You With Denise Doyle

Tuesday 21st August 2018

Q1. What were you doing prior to joining Alexander Ash?

A. I was in a similar position working for a recruitment company. It involved a lot of the back office sales support administration whilst also being a team leader.

Q2. How would you define your role at Alexander Ash?

A. KAS (Key Accounts Support), I’d say, is the backbone to the sales. We support the Client Account Managers with the end to end recruitment process, ensuring all necessary actions are taken to push this along more efficiently. I also produce the Internal Market Intel and work closely with the Operations Manager to keep the Company running smoothly.

Q3. What is it like working at Alexander Ash?

A. For someone with a support perspective, I feel like there is a lot of respect given for us here. Culturally, Alexander Ash is really diverse. We’ve recently had a big increase in female hires which is really nice to see. There are a lot of people here from different backgrounds and ages so there is a great atmosphere. We have people who have just finished school with no recruitment experience, graduates and people who have been in the business for years. So definitely a welcoming and inclusive environment!

Q4. What is your biggest accomplishment so far at Alexander Ash?

A. I would say my input to the use of our CRM system. This benefits my job as I do a lot of the internal reporting so I’ve managed to grow that and make it more centralised creating a golden source of data. Guiding and mentoring my team and the wider team of the importance of data is probably my biggest ‘on-going’ achievement!

Q5. If you could steal credit for any great piece of art, song, film, book etc. which one would you claim?

A. I would say, although not many people would know who they are, London Grammar. They’re my favourite band and I would love to say that I could make their type of music. But specifically their first album, ‘If You Wait’.

Q6. What would you be doing if you were not in Recruitment?

A.  I would probably have my own niche business, maybe something in design. I have always had an interest in having my own clothing range!
