Credit Risk Officer

My client a Tier 1 Investment bank with global operations, is currently looking to hire a Credit Risk Officer to join them in their London office.

Your key responsibilities:

• Analyse, understand, document and credit approve/co-approve (under four-eye principle) new structured transactions across all products in the IPB product suite
• Work closely with the front office Lending team to assess new transactions and seek to challenge / strengthen proposed structures where appropriate
• Autonomously manage and monitor a portfolio of credit-relevant clients including periodic rating and credit reviews and general portfolio hygiene
• Participate in work-out cases
• Participate in ad hoc projects, portfolio deep dives and reporting / reviews in support of regional risk governance. This may also include as a Risk representative in new product development from time to time. This may also include as a Risk representative in new product development from time to time

Your skills and experience:

• Ability to identify transaction risks (predominantly in loans but also in derivatives), including due to correlation, concentration, documentation, valuations
• Proficiency in analysing financial statements, including for Corporates
• Ability to navigate legal documentation and critique proposed loan structures, including highly structured transactions
• Understanding of cross border / jurisdiction risks
• Experience in Asset / Structured Finance, Fund Finance or Corporate Credit (an understanding of Corporate Finance and Valuations) is a strong advantage
