Credit Risk Analyst - Contract - Glasgow

Alexander Ash are currently working with a global consultancy who have partnered up with an Investment Bank who are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join their multi-disciplinary team.

The Risk Function is responsible for the overall management and oversight of risk management practices group-wide. It operates right across the organisation, and right across the globe to protect the Investment Banks financial performance and reputation.

Their Risk professionals have advanced technical skills across a broad range of disciplines. They take the lead in addressing issues including the potential implications of an economic downturn or financial crime, and in advising the Banks business leaders in making measured decisions. Through dedicated support services Risk teams make a real difference to the Banks business clients by sanctioning loans and investments, and by helping to turnaround their fortunes when they are facing financial difficulties. They also provide peace of mind for their Retail customers by protecting their assets and investments, whilst also protecting the transactions of their various retail banking customers wherever they are in the world

What they are looking for:

• Strong analytical background, data driven, results orientated, commercial focused
• Good experience in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to understand and identify potential control breakdowns in processes, demonstrated with contributions to effective procedure manuals

Highly desired skills:

• Credit Risk relevant experience
• Experience in Credit Risk or Finance Reporting and Analysis
• Good understanding of data infrastructure
• Business Objects and/or SQL experience
