Head of IT Development - Financial services

Alexander Ash are working with a niche consulting firm who's end client is a global multi-disciplinary financial services firm. The Head of IT Development will be responsible for setting up the development function from scratch, focusing on a holistic overview of delivery execution in a public/hybrid cloud environment.
Your experience
- You will have previously set up and ran a IT development capability from scratch in a global organisation within a regulated industry. This will include resource allocation (onshore/offshore), skill gap identification, TOM definition for the development function.
- You will also have a solid understanding of Cloud and the regulatory requirements on putting data into the cloud.
- You will have a technical background with a good strategic mindset, able to work extensively with C-level stakeholder groups and technical teams.
Nice to haves:
- Previous Finance IT or Shared Services experience is advantageous.
- Previous experience of working in the financial services industry is beneficial.
- Transformation experience in consolidating complex data sets into a cloud-based data warehouse solution is highly desirable, ideally with practical experience of Snowflake.
Please note this role has been deemed inside IR35 and will be PAYE.
